Things to Do in Jacksonville

Justin and I moved to Jacksonville, FL in the end of 2021, and we’ve found lots of fun things to do! We wanted to share some of our favorites with you. Whether you’re looking for outdoor adventure, entertainment, culture, or culinary delights, Jacksonville has something to offer everyone. Here are some of the top things to do in the area!

1. Go to the beach

Jacksonville has several beaches that offer plenty of fun in the sun. Whether you want to relax with a good book or get active with some surfing and beach volleyball, there’s something for everyone. We love going to Atlantic Beach, having dinner at North Beach Fish Camp, and spending some time in the water.

2. Take a river cruise

Okay… To be honest, we haven’t done this yet. BUT we are planning on doing this in the next couple of months! You can enjoy a relaxing cruise down the St. Johns River and see some of the best sites in Jacksonville while having your favorite drinks from the bar. Check out St. Johns Rivership Co.

3. Explore the Riverside Arts Market

We absolutely love the Riverside Arts Market! This outdoor market takes place every Saturday and features locally made art, crafts, and food. Grab some food from the many food trucks and support local businesses!

4. Eat lots of good food

Food is our favorite pass time. We love to try new restaurants and recipes and have found some great places to eat around Jacksonville. Some of our favorite are River and Post, Hawkers, Domu, and TacoLu.

5. Spend some time at the Park

We love to take our dog, Nyx, to parks in the area. Our recent favorite has been Memorial Park. Memorial Park sits right by the St. Johns River and is next to lots of different restaurants.

There is a lot to do in Jacksonville, and we’re still exploring what the city has to offer! I hope this list gives you some ideas of things to do, and if there are other fun things to do in the area not on the list, let us know!
